The world is being annihilated from alien monsters called the Kaiju, hidden beneath the ocean. Earth’s last line of defense are large mechs known as Jaegers, mammoth robots piloted by humans to battle the Kaiju. Pacific Rim is directed by Guillermo del Toro and starring Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Ron Perlman and Ellen McLain voice of the Jaeger AI (also was the voice of GLaDOS from Portal) It will be released in 3-D and IMAX 3-D on July 12, 2013.

Is anyone else reminded of a mecha anime like Mobile Suit Gundam when looking at the trailer? Also, I think this movie might be another Battleship.
